Harry is also a “Real Time” system, which can record live pictures, process and edit them, then replay them at video rate. Harry is designed to be fully compatible with the Quantel Classic Paintbox (DPB7000/1) which can be used to alter frames and hence provide the facility of full frame animation.

When connected to a Classic Paintbox the produced animated sequences can be freely mixed with stored video to produce a wide range of animation effects as well as allowing recorded cells in Harry to be modified frame by frame using the Paintboxes unique graphic design facilities.

The systems accept composite, RGB, YUV or Digital CCIR 601 inputs and outputs the same standards so the equipment can be used as a stand alone system or easily integrated into a larger machine room.

The Flash Harry Suite is based on the above but now gives the editor greater speed during processing operations. Most systems also have the newer disc drives (2380) which gives greater recording capacity and the ability to link additional drives to the system.
