Packing the contents

Use the original shipping cartons, the pallet, the wrench, mounting bolts and all packing materials - if you do not have these then we can arrange to send them to you for the safe and secure return of the scanner.
You will need help in packing the scanner as it is heavy - by this time everyone has probably deserted you!

1. Turn the scanner off by pressing the "O" side of the on/off switch.
2. Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and from the scanner.
3. Tape down the analyzer lens.
4. Stand facing your willing helper with the scanner between you. Bend your knees to protect your back. Carefully lift the scanner and place it on the pallet, aligning the scanner with the alignment blocks on the pallet.
5. The scanner must now be bolted to the pallet. Using the supplied Allen wrench, replace the two bolts that fasten the scanner to the pallet. See also the above pictures.
6. Place the plastic covers on the SCSI connectors located on the right rear of the scanner.
7. Close the access door and tape it shut. Cover with plastic sheeting if possible and lower the cardboard over the scanner. Secure with tape or nylon ties.
