Mirage & Friends

In 1982 the Mirage was launched providing real time video manipulation and allowing the user complete control of all the picture dimensions including its shape, position and perspective via a floating viewpoint control panel.

Various options can be connected to the Mirage system which include:

• Combiner
  This gives a digital interface for connection to Harry or Encore
• Combiner 601 I/F
  Connected to the Combiner gives standard CCIR601 to other industry standard equipment
• Starlight
  This can be used to produce lighting sources for 3D shapes
• Contour
  Easily customized shapes can be design and manipulated in Mirage

The Mirage was the revolution for effects machines, introducing the TV page turn and the first machine to be able to manipulate 3D images in 3D space.
